Girls, Women & Sponsors
I watched the video and it broke my heart. I have known about female circumcision for years and I am appalled that it is still happening I want my voice to be heard, This procedure is unnecessary and inhumane This procedure treats women like animals IT IS WRONG.

Please count on me still going with you to Africa and coming to the convention.

Please sister, send my greetings to all the members of St. Bridget’s Church. Tell them that I am very happy for their help. I keep smiling when I think of the bright future ahead of me now. I pray that the struggle to save the other girls may also be successful.

Thanks to St Bridget's Church in Indaianapolis.Lillian Tendet (Uganda), a Sabiny girl sponsored by St. Bridget’s Church. She got a chance to remain in school and not be circumcised.
My dream is to let the world know that we are forced into FGM and that if we don’t join hands, we will not be able to stop this practice Thank you so much, my life changed a lot since I met you.Valentine Nkoyo, Masaai, Kenya (Survivor)
I will be so happy to be a presenter at the FGM International Convention. I am trusting that my contribution will make a difference in the fight against FGM.
Patrick Kitiyo Sabiny tribe researher,Uganda.
I have yet another piece of good News to share: A group of Girl Scouts from Michigan City led by their leader Daiva Mockaitis, have joined our struggle of keeping the girls in school to save them from being circumcised. The Girl Scouts raise money by selling cookies. This year (2008) they have been able to sponsor 4 girls (8-12 years) from the Sabiny tribe in Uganda.
Thank you so much Daiva and the Girls Scouts.
